What Is A Domain Name?

A domain name is composed of name and a two or three-letter extension separated by a period. The extension could be .com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov, .uk, etc. There is an extension for different purposes and for every country but .com (commercial) is most common. Your website could be www.your-company.com This domain will also be used in your email address such as your-name@your-domain.com
Domains refer to a device on the Internet. This device will be identified to your computer by it's IP address. An IP address has a numerical format such as 198.158.1.1 since these are not handy for people to use or remember they are translated into domain names by the DNS (domain name server)
All of my hosting accounts include procurement and management of a domain name of your choice depending on availability.
